Quick Start Guide
MIG Flash Card firmware update
- Download the latest official firmware archive and extract it.
- Place the included
update.s2file in the root of the MIG Flash microSD card. - Insert the microSD card into MIG Flash, then power the device from a compatible console or MIG Dumper.
- Wait while the LED flashes blue. Do not remove power during the update.
- The update is complete when the LED stops flashing and remains blue.
MIG Dumper firmware update
- Remove any game cartridge and connect the Dumper by USB.
- Use MIG Updater for Windows, macOS, Linux or Python, or follow the manual instructions on the official download page.
- Select the correct physical drive, verify its version, choose
update.s2and complete the update. - Safely eject the Dumper before disconnecting it.
Compatibility note
Firmware 1.2.0 added support for Switch 1 games on Switch 2 consoles. The firmware 1.2.3 announcement states that newer black Switch 1 game-card types are supported; red Switch 2 game cards were still under investigation. Check the official news and download page before making compatibility claims.
LED Troubleshooting Summary
- Solid white/pink: no valid backup is detected or the exFAT microSD cannot be read.
- Solid green: the selected backup loaded successfully.
- Blinking blue: firmware update in progress; wait until it finishes.
- Blinking red: possible contact, power or hardware problem; clean the contacts and contact your reseller if it continues.
